- Your VIN (on the driver’s side of the dashboard, the door jamb, your registration, or your insurance card)
- Your exact location or the nearest cross street
- Year, make, model, color, and mileage
- A phone number where they can call you back
Good to Know
- Manufacturer roadside help usually lasts only during the warranty years. After that, check your insurance, credit card, or auto club.
- Most programs will unlock your car, jump a battery, change a flat, bring fuel, and tow to a dealer.
- Several carmakers say plainly that their roadside program does not pay for a new key or the labor to make one.
